Northland house building company Payton Builders is a family owned business. When customers hire Payton Builders they get both business owners working on the job – husband and wife team Kylie and Dave Payton. The couple has been building in the Far North, where Payton Builders is based, for over 20 years. The main focus is on traditional craftsmanship and producing a high end result every time through strict quality management controls at each step of the process. Dave is a qualified builder and a Licensed Building Practitioner and has established a solid reputation in the region for his high quality workmanship. Dave has a great reputation for honesty, integrity, great service and craftsmanship. Dave has completed a wide variety of projects all over Northland including new homes for first home buyers, architectural new homes, house renovations, alterations, additions and extensions, carports, garages, farm buildings, farm sheds, commercial buildings and more.



KYLIE PAyTON



Kylie has been on the tools for a number of years and decided that she would like to be a qualified builder. At present she is doing her apprenticeship through BCITO under Dave's watchful eye meaning extremely high levels of quality on every project Payton Builders completes. Kylie admits that customers are sometimes surprised to see her swinging a hammer on site but quickly find it brings advantages to have both her and Dave physically building their project:

“Both Dave and I are there doing their job which gives great quality control as well as a very personal building experience for the client. It’s all easy as they only have to deal with us. Female customers also like it that I am there building on site as well as I can explain things to them in a different way."

Kylie also takes care of the administration side of the operation including quotes, ordering, building consents and project management.
